3500 Campaign

About the event

What is the 3500 Campaign?

The 3500 campaign is an effort to raise the awareness of the need for affordable housing in the Rapid City area. According to the Affordable Housing Study done by Black Hills Knowledge Network in conjunction with the Vucurevich Foundation, there is a need for approximately 3500 more affordable owner-occupied homes in the Rapid City area. We are looking to have a minimum of 3500 paper homes, found at blackhillshabitat.org/3500-campaign at the Civic Center East Concourse in front of the Rush box office on November 9, 2018 between 2 & 6 PM.

Some ideas on how can you get involved:

Spread the word about the 3500 campaign prior to the event, and encourage others to bring a house
Be the spokesperson for your organization and bring paper homes from others to the event on November 9.
Assemble your house and bring it to the East Concourse in the Civic Center on November 9th.

Post a picture of yourself (and maybe some friends!) on Facebook or Instagram holding your tiny home or dropping it off with #3500homes
